Project Description
This project is part of an effort to develop several integration components for Kaseya 2 in the form of command line tools and a presentation layer that leverages SharePoint 2010.

Note: April 27, 2011 - Sorry for no updates in such a long time, but this project had to go to the back burner for a while due to my workload. New alpha is now up with a larger set of components now implemented and more to come!

The primary initial focus of this project is to build a number of components for deployment in SharePoint 2010 in order to integrate with an established Kaseya 2 implementation. In addition, it is hoped that a PowerShell module can also be created for enabling management of Kaseya 2 via this powerful new shell interface from Microsoft, as well as a Windows Forms Implementation of Kaseya. Although these last 2 stages will be much further down the track, the initial and most important stage is the SharePoint 2010 Integration.

The key SharePoint 2010 components we will be building will implement various Web APIs provided as part of the Kaseya 2 framework as follows:
  • Core Services Framework: Provides configuration capabilities to define Secure Store Service to use and the location of the Kaseya web interface which will be passed to other web parts.
  • Separate Web Parts for integration with following K2 Web APIs
    • Tickets: AddTicRequest, GetTicket, GetTicketList, GetTicketNotes, GetTicRequestTicket
    • Alarms: CloseAlarm, GetAlarm, GetAlarmList
    • Machines: GetMachine, GetMachineCollectionList, GetMachineGroupList, GetMachineList, GetMachineUptime
  • Detailed complex BDC Object Model complete with Content Types and Site Columns for use in KPIs, reporting, and data presentation throughout a SharePoint implementation for the above data types

Unfortunately, myself and the others presently attached to this project are new to development in general, so it will take a little time to get things moving initially. If you have development experience with either Kaseya 2 or SharePoint, and/or you would like to contribute to this project, please feel free to email me and let me know.
